Initial thoughts on the issue

Without knowing much about the topic to begin with, I can only offer a very basic understanding in my opinion. As far as I know, the Howard government, at the very end of his leadership, sent troups to the Northern Territory in order to offer much needed assistance to women and children suffering from sexual and physical abuse within the Aboriginal communities.

  1. Good start. I'm looking forward to seeing what you present in the way of perspectives. One interesting perspective, that of an Indigenous academic who favours the Intervention, is that of Marcia Langton. I gather she's also been much-criticised fo rher position by other Indigenous commentators. You might want to give your poll more than 6 days to run. See whether you get some responses over a longer period, say 3 months?
